Idiopathic hypersomnia????

I am a university student, and for the past 5 years I have had trouble staying awake in lectures seminars and meetings, regardless of how much sleep I get at night. I find it extremely hard to wake in the mornings, regularly sleeping through my alarm for up to 2 hours. I recently had a multiple sleep latency test which showed no abnormal results, with a mean sleep latency of 15min and no evidence of 'REM intrusion'. In the night study my sleep efficiency was 95.5%, 20.9% of my sleep was REM sleep, and 20.6% in delta wave sleep (whatever that means!) There were 4 REM cycles and REM latency was 171 minutes. From what I have read so far, I thought that it may be a possibility that I had idiopathic hypersomnia, however my sleep specialist said that my results showed that I’m negative for both idiopathic hypersomnia and narcolepsy.

Does anyone have any ideas why my sleep specialist may have decided im negative for IH, or what else could be wrong with me???
