Thanks in advance for your help!

I was in a car wreck back in 2007 and experienced whiplash and a concussion - although I didn't hit my head on anything. The concussion symptoms seemed to go away after a few months. After this cleared up, I started developing sleep problems - I'd fall asleep very quickly (never the case), I'd wake up frequently during the night, but never for very long, and no matter how much or how little sleep I got, I would feel tired throughout the day. I woke up tired, I stayed tired, I went to bed tired.

I had an overnight sleep study and had light snoring, 94% lowest oxygen level, and a whooping 97% sleep efficiency. I spent about 20% in REM sleep. Since I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes, my doc thought I might have narc and ordered and MLST. I fell asleep in 4 of the 5 tests with an average of 8 minutes. No REM. I had the genetic blood testing done to conclude that it's not narc.

My doc now wants me to have an MRI to see if there's some sort of brain tumor or injury. I got a lot of headaches after my wreck in 07 and again the last few weeks, but I've also been under some stress. Does this actually happen? I'm freaking out about the possibility. He said it's this or IH, but he doesn't like to diagnose people with IH. Can a brain injury happen from a minor wreck that causes sleep problems a year afterwards??
