Does anyone else have a problem with bright lights? I have neurosarcoidosis, which damaged my optic nerve and left me mostly blind in my left eye and damaged the stalk between the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland, shutting down my endocrine system. I can't help but wonder if my substantia nigra was also damaged and is disrupting my sleep patterns. I take Provigil just to keep from sleeping 18-20 hours a day, but I've noticed that on a bright, sunny, day, when I should be wide awake, I often get extremely sleepy instead. On overcast day and during the night I don't have this reaction. Since bright lights are supposed help keep people awake, not put them to sleep. Obviously this is extremely disruptive and essentially ended things like working in the yard, going on hikes, etc.
Does anyone else have this problem? If so, what do you do to cope and try to lead a normal life?

Thanks to everyone!
