Posted by Sam2112 on August 18, 2009 at 05:18:59:I suddenly wake thinking I might dead. This usually happens to me very late somewhere between 3 and 5 in the morning. What happens is that I jolt up dazed and disoriented and feeling lost and freaked out sometimes I wake up with a loud yell but that’s only once in a while. I usually recognize that I’m in my room but also think I just died and am somehow sitting up but in some fake version of my room. It’s like I’m familiar yet lost at the same time and it’s scary because I always feel like this must be death. Some times I notice after it happens I’m damp and clammy.
I sleep next to my wife and sometimes I leave our bed to go to the couch to be alone to shake it off. Maybe I need to sleep alone more. Sometimes I think it might be that its caused because I don’t have free reign of the bed like I’m uncomfortable or feel strangled in the relationship but at the same time we do care about each other. We have been together for 16 years and I’m 40. Either way, I don’t like what’s happening.
