Inner ear problem -> sleep disorder

For 13 years, I suffered from long periods of time (totalling more than half the year) where I would experience 8 or more hours of sleep but not get any rest out of it. The experience coincided with sinus and inner ear problems (headaches and dizziness). My girlfriend said I didn't wake up or snore. I last posted here in 2001, before my 1st sleep study. The study results said I slept fine. One ENT Dr said that he saw this sleep problem--only occasionally--in patients with my kind of dry, non-allergic rhinitis, but had no cure. I cured the headaches & dizziness by spraying Lysol on my pillowcase & bedsheets before bed, but the sleep disorder continued. By 2008, I was very sick, with uncontrollable high-blood-pressure among other things. Desperate, I tried another sleep study, with the same results: patient slept normally. I was very depressed, but I thought, "OK, I'm a really smart guy. I must be able to glean some information from this. A result of zero is still data." What did the 2 sleep studies have in common? Answer: Heavily filtered fresh air! So I bought a really good Kenmore quintuple-filter air filter and 8 feet of dryer hose. I made an adapter out of a cardboard box and attached it to the filter, cut a hole for the dryer hose in a piece of plywood for the window; I run it 24-7 at low speed. THAT and regular sinus irrigation CURED me! Just thought I should share. "Josh", if you're out there, I hope you read this :-)
