alpha intrusion disorder

looking for info. on above disorder. Friend on
several meds. (doxypin, ambien, & ristoril) & still not sleeping more than 2-3 hours per night.
Already gone through other methods of trying to sleep - i.e. staying up late, only going into bed for sleep, getting 1/2 hr. of daylight in a.m. & also went to a sleep clinic overnight which diagnosed "alpha intrusion disorder". Anyone having more info. or options, please send e-mail.
