I really appreciate Lynne's feedback. I suppose, looking back, there were incidents in my childhood which could have ignited the nightmares. Since I have never undergone psychotherapy for this disorder, I'm hopeful that the "right" individual could be quite helpful. I agree with Lynne, again, that unless a therapist has a great deal of experience treating the problem or has himself or herself "experienced" the condition, psychotherapy may not be helpful.
