PARANOIA ? THE STARTLINGS...

Posted by anonymous person on July 05, 2000 at 15:48:15:

Curious if anyone has heard/experienced a paranoia condition
related to sleep disorders ?
Here's an example, only in a house(any house) but not outside, at night. Feeling of nervousness, seeing reflection/movement in corner of eye. Afraid of darkness
that forms shapes that move. It's like having an over active imagination but only indoors at night.
Being afraid to lay down to bed thinking your back is exposed unless the beds to one side of the wall.
Much insecurity but only at night and inside a house.
Any way , it causes violent wakings when trying to sleep
with this type of feeling. It's an apprehension and if just falling asleep causes a violent reaction if suddenly awoken
. What's interesting is the startling is not in rem ?
But it is defenitely a hallicination !?!
Any feed back out there?
