i sympathise. i have similar experiences with my boyfriend. thought they'd stopped but happened agan last night. he has what i thinks are a sort of ight terror. also described on this site as pavor nocturnus. the scary thing is i often can't distinguish between when he is awake or asleep. we can hold entire conversations, be it fairly illogical ones, while he is asleep. he becomes more agressive and generally scary in this state. last night he fell, or scrambled out of bed cutting his leg badly on the way and at first i didn't even go to help as thought he was still in the middle of a nightmare. he then got angry at me for not knowing he was actually awake and in considerable pain. this actually sounds amusing looking back but at the time its me whos in the nightmare because he can't even remember!
