Posted by Kurt on July 13, 2000 at 08:01:30:These notes are a result of my experiences and may not work for everyone. I am the poorest speller on the planet, male, 36. 1 year ago, I developed night sweats, every night for a period of 20 days. After about 15 days I had my blood tested, the conclusion based upon the results and other symptoms was that I was overcomming viral meningitis. Recently I have been having night sweats for the last 10 days. They are not accompanied by the symptoms that I had 1 year ago. I have discovered several things that have been helpful in reducing or eliminating them entirely (for me).
1. Do not eat within 2.5 hours of going to bed.
2. Excercise in the PM for atleast 30 minutes.
3. If they appear to be somewhat stress related;
A. Either get your blood checked or forget about worrying, the stress of waking up in a totally wet bed and thinking about- AIDS,Cancer, and other disorders just compounds the effect.
B. Be appreciative that you can- see, walk, talk, are not being beaten, are not starving, etc. your life is always going to be better than atleast 5 billion other people on this planet.
C. Identify the item that is producing most of the stress (and you KNOW what it is) and correct it, carpa diem- Life is short!
Personal opinions below, ignor if you already have a clue.
4. Consider that no one, prior to the current medical marketing age, was consumming prescription antidepresants and hormons. Were we just dying or suffering beyond compare, NO. Consider the estrogen in soy "milk" if you are female.
5. Prior to the TV age, we were not eating a significant amount of sugar or processed foods. The cemicals used in these foods are not normally encountered in nature as it relates to any mamals' consumption. Your diet results in you.
6. Love yourself. Sounds stupid, but you must understand that you are the single most important item in your reality. If you have loved ones, trust, caring, and love are all secondary and improved if you understand that life begins with you and not someone else. Smile, complement people on real items (not material goods) and you will see that your view will reflect back at you.
8. Don't believe everything you hear, read, or see, believe in yourself, your instincts, and many things that are NOT on TV, radio, paper.
9. Please have a wonderful day today and repeat it often into the future. : ) Kurt
