same problem here. I feel for you. I bet there are enough of us out there to warrent a real study or at least a name to this problem instead of what others call us...lazy. Right? Maybe it's hypersomnia? we all just get so deep into sleep, like hibernation that waking up just doesn't seem easy. Somethings I've tried in the past that have worked to a certain degree...
1.)keep toothpaste next to the bed and when the alarm goes off, put some in your mouth-it's a shock to your tastebuds and may wake you.
2.)When your husband calls, ask him to ask you questions that require your brain to work a bit. Not simple arithmatic and not like "what are you going to do today?" Though it may take him five minutes of his morning, it might just work. I am not married, so I have no-one just now to ask this service of. Yet in the past it has worked. They will ask me about my relationships with friends or my plans for the weekends or about some trip I went on or are planning on. Ask him to be creative. In the process of the conversation... it is your job to sit up and move away from the bed....after the phone conversation is over, go straight to the sink and splash water on your face.

Best of luck. I'd like to hear a follow-up if you try these things.

Smiles,
Hope in TEXAS
