Posted by lynne on August 02, 2000 at 23:54:46:Ever since my son was a newborn baby I have had a terrible time waking him up in the morning. My pediatrician actually threatened to hospitalize him because he was losing weight because I could not wake him up long enough to nurse. He has always been this way when he was little I would literally drag him out of bed, feed him, dress him a take him to school. He is now 17 years old and still cannot get up in the morning. I am now divorced and have to go to work in the morning so am not home to physically help him to get up. He was kicked out of high school because he could not get up in the morning to get to school on time. His father and everyone else think that he is just lazy but now I am begining to think that there is something else wrong. He tells me that he really wants to get up but just can't. He doesn't remember when someone wakes him up even when he talks to the person and answers them. If anyone can give me some direction as to where to take my son for help I would really appreciate it he is a wonderful, bright kid who is beginning to feel worthless. Thanks
