Hi Guys,
Now I know that it has a name. I have this too, always have. This is the first time that I have heard anyone talk about it and none of the sleep disorder sites seem to mention it.
My experience: Not only me, but also my brother and sister do this, although I am the worst of the bunch.
In terms of my reactions from others, people have been pretty well understanding of the rocking - it was more like a joke.
I would really like to find out more about this for serveral reasons: 1. I feel sorry for my lady, as she is the one who has to deal with this on a nightly basis and 2. Sometimes I feel like I have not had a decent night's sleep in 25 years! (I'm coming up on thirty)
I have noticed some patterns with my rocking - my rocking will usually start in the early morning, a couple of hours before I awake. Almost as though my body is not longer tired and wants to get moving. I will start earlier the more stressed I am, and clearly, the more stress I have the harder and more I rock.
Most of the time I hate to be stopped, it can be a really irritating feeling, but sometimes I don't mind so much. But most of the time I don't like it.
No matter how tired I am before I go to sleep I will always rock - every single night.
Sometimes I rock so much when I awake, I still feel really tired, like I did not sleep at all. Do you guys get this? I don't know if it is related, but I have a hard time getting up in the morning and I am almost always in a bad mood.
Well that is about it. Please tell me more about your experiences and if you know where I can get more information on this.
Dom
