Thank you for the additional information, Baz.

I have to confess to my experiences in foam stores being less than fruitful. They tried to take advantage of the perception that they were "experts" in a very specialized field to sell me inferior foams at superior prices. It left me a little disgruntled.

It is nice to hear a solidly positive report!!!

Regarding Allergens: The big culprit is Dust Mites. Mattresses that use natural fibers, which are organic, tend to provide a feeding source for Mites, which feed on organic materials. Unfortuantely, the greatest source for that organic material is the skin we slough-off continually.

Foam, not being organic, does not provide a secondary source for Dust Mite feeding. That is why most foam mattresses brag about being Dust Mite resistent. But it is a coincidental property, not a result of anything they are doing.

The thing that will reduce the impact of Dust Mites -- and the allergic reactions! -- more than anything is frequent sheet replacement and cleaning ... and regular vaccuuming of the mattress. Using a vaccuum that has a HEPA filter is best, but not mandatory.

I look forward to seeing more contributions from you. Thank you.
