Honest...I have been thinking seriously about what you have said about the hammocking effect of the air mattress in relationship to back problems. I have called the manufacturers rep and inquired. His answer was that possibly there was too much foam in the plush model that I bought and that I should do away with two layers of foam that I paid an extra $1000 for!How do you like that for nerve? Why don't they make you aware of these things before you purchase a bed. Needless to say I took out two layers of foam and put the air pressure quite high to make the bed firm. I feel asleep alright but awakened at 2:45 not being able to fall asleep, and feeling like the bed was uncomfortable.I also noticed that the sides of the bed are much higher and it hammocks toward the middle. They extended my trial period but regretfully I may have a problem with an air bed. Can you recommend a matress that is firm yet has some flexiblity and adjusts to the body evenly? ave you heard anything about the TempurPedic? I would prefer a matress that does not collect dust mites as an innerspring for a have dust allergies. Any imput you have would be greatly appreciated...Thanks again Hope Master
