WAKING RIGHT UP! WHAT GIVES???

Posted by vice principal on January 21, 2001 at 09:31:11:

Two or three times a night I will wake up (sometimes to go to the bathroom) but I will wake right up! As in I could get dressed and go to work woken up. I have tried, repeatedly, to go back to sleep but I just will lay awake for 45 min. to 1 hour plus. As lying awake is "a waste of time", I will read untill I feel tired again . So my reading is all up to date but I feel as if I am slowly wearing down as a result of not getting enough sleep. I am starting to worry about waking up and not getting enough sleep before I go to sleep! Late afternoon meetings are torture to stay awake in! Any suggestions?
