20 hrs. of sleep?

When I was 5 years old, my mother had to take me to the dr. because I would sleep for 20 hours a day and was unable to go to school. I remember getting a shot in my arm at the hospital and telling my grandmother they fixed me. No one seems to remember what my problem was (except I was lazy :) ), or exactly what was done to fix it.

Has anyone ever heard of anything like this? I would just like to know for myself to see if it's related to sleeping problems I'm experiencing now. Thanks.
