Sounds way too familiar to me!! Could sleep anytime in college and wouldn't wake up til... Still can't wake up on my own.
My problems include delayed sleep phase syndrome (DSPS), occlusive sleep apnea (OSA), and dysthymia (chronic, low-grade depression).
For DSPS, try a search on this site (incl the insomnia forum) and some other sites for tips, more descriptions etc.
If you snore, you should check into getting a sleep study - esp with your level of sleepiness.
I wish I had treated all three of my problems a lot sooner than I did.
Still need a lot of sleep but it's much better. Not sure how I managed to graduate...
Keep in mind that most of the other kids are not getting enough sleep either.
Good luck!
