Try checking out the apnea forums on this site - It took me a very long time to accept that I probably had obstructive sleep apnea, and then get tested to verify it. I had the symptoms when I was in college - inability to stay awake during afternoon classes, especially if they were a little bit boring. I could nod off after drinking a cup of coffee in class.
