The classic cause of night sweats is TB. This is EVERY night.
Occassional episodes are more likely to be a very warm nite, dreams causing sympathetic stimulation, etc.
If this is every (or most) night, it may be a good idea to check with a doc and get a TB and WBC test (for other possible infections with a similar fever pattern) if warranted.
If occassional, I wouldn't worry about it.
As you are close to 40 it could possibly be early beginnings of peri-menopause. Worth mentioning to a doc but not urgent.
