Should I get help?

Posted by Ann on June 28, 2001 at 22:10:45:

In the past 11 years I know i've had a sleep problem. My husband is my witness and I don't remember any of what he tells me. He says I dart up to a sitting position in bed and say "oh god or oh s--t". He tells me it's ok and I lay back down and continue sleeping. I know it sounds really funny but I have been up in the night too. About a year or so ago I woke up at the top of the stairs wondering why I was there and went back to bed. He didn't catch me that time and I wonder how many other times i've done it. The reason i'm writing is that when I got into bed tonight he asked me if I remember getting up and going out the front door last night. He said he caught me at the door. I don't remember anything. When I was a little girl I can remember sleepwalking one time that my mom told me about. I am not stressed out, I do not do drugs or alcohol. Is this serious or should I just not worry about it?
