Night sweats and SSRI's ?

Posted by Shelly on July 01, 2001 at 16:09:50:

I'm 30 years old, and I've been suffering from severe night sweats for about 3-4 years. I'm totally healthy, and the only connection I've been able to make is that I have also been taking Paxil for about that long. I don't have them every night, but when I do they are bad. I wake up completely soaked, I have to change my clothes and the bedding (or lay a towel down and get a spare blanket). Sometimes it can happen up to 3 times in one night! I guess I just wanted to see how many other people have a similar problem. I don't want to stop taking my medication - I guess can live with the night sweats - I just want to know why I'm having them. Thanks for listening. ~Shelly
