What should I do??

Posted by cannon21 on December 29, 2001 at 07:11:42:

I'm 30 years old and have suddenly developed some sort of sleep disorder. It started about 1 year ago when I went to visit my brother in Fla. I was asleep on his couch when I jumped up yelling OH MY GOD >>> OH MY GOD!!!! and running around the living room for awhile before crashing into his patio door. I woke up to see him with a mouthful of a sandwich and a drink in one hand with his eyes wide open. He couldn't believe what he saw. I've never had problems before that. Now, I think it's just about everynight some episode happens. It's usually not as bad as that night, but the same general feeling. I remember most of the time thinking that I'm going to die. This is it ..........it's over. Almost trying to force myself to wake up before I die. Gasping for air and feeling a funny sensation in my chest during the episode. This happens too often now. Is there any real danger of actually not catching your breathe one of these nights??? What do you people think?
