EDS can be caused by a variety of disorders such as Restless Legs Syndrome, Periodic Limb Movement, Sleep Apnea, Sleep Fragmentation, etc.

Your doctor will need to run an overnight sleep test (PSG) and probably a daytime test (MSLT) to determine the cause of your EDS.
