Tempurpedic Support -- Boxspring vs. Platform Bed

Posted by Interested in Foam on January 09, 2002 at 12:13:50:

Hi,

I'm strongly considering purchasing a Tempurpedic mattress, but I'm wondering how it will feel without a boxspring. I ask because a lot of bedframe designs don't accomodate a boxspring and instead rely on wood slats to support the mattress.

- What's the best foundation to put a Tempurpedic mattress on? A boxspring? A floor or other solid surface? A platform bedframe w/ slats?

- If it's on slats, will I be able to feel them through the Tempurpedic mattress?

Thanks in advance.
