Go see a good sleep specialist. You really have nothing to be nervous about, and the relief is well worth it.

I had very similar symptoms as what you describe, in addition to having RLS. A sleep study revealed that I also have PLMS, along with heavy sleep fragmentation. I take Requip to control the RLS and PLMS, and it has literally changed by entire life for the better.

I am still having some excessive daytime sleepiness, so my sleep specialist prescribed another med for me to take at night and it seems to have started working. I am sleeping much better than I have since I was a child.

Again, it's worth going to a sleep clinic. Plus, with so many potential causes, you need to get a diagnosis to be treated properly. Treatment that might work for one problem can make another worse, so you definitely don't want to try to fix this yourself.

Good luck!

Leah
