HELP me understand sleep study results

Posted by TJ on January 12, 2002 at 01:27:23:

I have just had a sleep study. My doctor says I have very mild sleep apnea (no need to treat now), Parasomnia, Rapid Eye Movement Behavior Disorder (RBD), Bruxism, Periodic Leg Movement Disorder (PLMS), and Restless Leg Disorder (RLD). My study shows a loss in EMG tone, which my doctor wrote in his notes called HSA. What does HSA mean? He says I have brain damage. What is telling him that? Is it my loss in EMG tone? He mentioned a Nuero __?___ ___?___ test should be run. I don't remember the tests full name. Maybe you recognize it. He talks to himself, where I hear to much, then he avoids answering those question I wasn't supposed to hear. He said I could have a tumor or just been hit in the head. He also described my RBD as Parkinson Disease. I am confused. Does anyone understand this stuff. I am also treated by another doctor for Migraines. I am taking Klonopin for my sleep disorders and Nuerontin for my migraines.
