Sorry if you thought my response was offhanded. The unfortunate truth is, this is not a disorder that is possible to treat without professional medical assistance. The price to pay for not treating it is MUCH higher than the price to pay for treatment. I assume your sister has contacted her local health department and requested assistance? Perhaps some of the sleep clinics in her area can advise her of programs for people without health insurance.
