That's interesting. I'm not sure what you mean by "sleep fragmentation", but I'm certainly prone to excessive daytime sleepiness and love to take naps. I do know that the better cardiovascular shape I'm in, though (which isn't always great!) the less I'm affected by the MVP (heart arrhythmias, panicky feelings, lightheadedness), *and* the less drowsy I feel. I've heard that getting lots of water and some good cardio exercise can ease the syptoms of MVP. Perhaps it could reduce some of the (potentially) related sleep irregularities, as well.
