Cannot go back to sleep at midnight.

Posted by Pacific on January 19, 2002 at 11:05:02:

I have no problem falling asleep when I begin my sleep.
3-4 hours after falling asleep I wake up.
Go to bathroom. Try sleeping again. Alas !
It takes me anywhere between 1-2 hours to fall asleep again.
I don't exactly know when this started but right now it is
everyday phenomenon. But when I fall asleep again I sleep
well.
What exactly is happening here ? I am getting frustrated.
Also, at midnight awakening urge to urinate is not really
great in the sense body could have waited atleast one hour
or even may be more before waking up for a must do urinate
call. Also, during the 1-2 hour time that I cannot fall
asleep so far I have managed not get irritated which could
make falling alseep even harder. I keep counting numbers.
I would appreciate any helpful ideas to get out of this
situation or atleast understand what is happening here.

Pacific.
