Stuffy Nose Happens When Sleeping

Posted by btruong on June 26, 2002 at 17:04:37:

Hello All,
I suffer nasal blockage for more than four years. It usually (99%) happens when I sleep and on the right nostril (I use to lay on the right side). During the daytime, I have no problem. In addition, I have no allergy, running nose, or itchy. X-ray test showed my septum is OK. The sprays and anti-histamine do not help. Every morning, I wake up tiredly with congestion on the right nose, and feel cold if I don't wear socks and more cloths (even in summer) on the night before. Last year, I was supposed to undergo a surgery for removing turbinate tissue, but it's cancelled due to the controversy of this method.
I am in mid-thirty, exercise regularly, healthy, rarely have to take any medication or get the flu. However, this problem causes me very frustrating and negatively affects my life in many ways.
I greatly appreciate any advices or suggestions to deal with my problem.
