Paralysed while half awake

Posted by MRKATZ on July 13, 2002 at 16:29:04:

I'm a 25 year old dude who sometimes gets very intense
flashes during the first hour or the last hour of my
sleep. During such a fase i don't have any time perception,
i don't know how long it actually lasts. I am totally par-
alysed-at least it feels like it- and i have this weird
vibration in the back of my head. I don't do drugs.
I sleep for about 6h a day and i feel ok in the daytime.
These symptons began about a year ago and i have them a
few times a month.
I know a guy who's about my age with similar "problems".
I don't see this condition as a problem, in fact, i
enjoy those "magic moments".
But i promised the guy the scientific name of the "disease".
So if anyone out there knows how they call it,
do let me know!

Thanx in advance.
