UARS Upper Air Resistance Syndrome, Surgury?

Been diagnosed with UARS. Doc seems very quick to cut - entire nasal and uvula operation. Pending next week. Getting second thoughts. Anyone had? Success? Recovery? A bit unsure and frankly frightened. How 'bout CPAP?
