Could be a sleep onset seizure. It is not uncommon to have a jerk when falling asleep. Called a hypnic jetk and almost everyone has had one at one time or another.

If you have excessive movement and feel something electrical, more than hypnic jerk, you should see a sleep specialist. Preferably one who specializes in neurology.
