Sleepwalking-physical danger

Posted by concerned on July 24, 2002 at 08:08:00:

My boyfriend snores, and talks in his sleep and can be difficult to wake up. Recently he had a episode where he also caused physical harm to another person, while sleeping. When he was told of this, he did not believe me. He does not rememeber a thing. He remembers going to bed, and then waking up outside talking to a friend. He has no idea how he got outside or what him and his friend were talking about. Is there anything that can be done to help him? and, I forget what the name of this condition is called. Please respond. Have tried other sites, but have not received any information. Thanks
