good points from sam first off...couple words that happen to be me... idiopathic CNS hypersomnia. alot like narcolepsy but without cataplasy. (if i am spelling wrong, im sorry :) ) narcolepsy also has a period when awakening that you feel refreshed, might be 5 minutes, or a couple hours. my difference is that i never feel refreshed. no matter what, i wake up feeling like ive been up for 3 days straight. the main reason im replying is because i feel alot the same to what you wrote. 2 hours or 10 hours of sleep, i feel the same. sometimes i get in the mode of, well, if im gonna feel the same anyway, why sleep? doesnt work. took 6 years to be diagnosed. the last year and a half of that completely unable to work. takes dexedrine like me and that somehow helps the pain (at least keeps her from focusing on it). anywho, if i can help, let me know :) mel
