agh! too familiar! same age (im 25) stuff, same health stuff (except i now smoke only to keep my sanity). the waking up process, i have up to 4 alarms, 2 people calling continuous while the phone is by my head, and last result if i dont answer the phone 2 times in a row and hold a "real" conversation both times and remember it, they come over to my house (only other people who have keys and heaven forbid im having some kind of weird phsyco dream and hurt them in the process), being told the reason im tired is because im depressed - sorry other way around! i had to quit school, was gonna go to vet school after general ed. still very bummed BUT it could be worse. i was finally diagnosed with idiopathic cns hypersomnia. normal treatment is stimulants, unfortunately because usually you do eventually build up some kind of tolerance or start having major side effects. however, if you have a good specialist, and in my experience a certified sleep disorder specialist is the key, adjustments and mixtures of say dexedrine and provigil might work. the idea though is that it works for you, not for so and so and now it should work for you too. if it did, the whole ordeal wouldnt be an ordeal. glad to help if i can, gonna go see if i can wake up in the morning to get to work :) mel
