When someone sleepwalks, safety is the number one concern. Make sure there are no weapons in the house and he is sleeping on the bottom floor. YOu can also put bells on doors to know when he has gotten up.

Sometimes the event can be triggered by other sleep disorders like sleep apnea. If he snores then that should be checked out. Getting rid of the apnea or other disorder could end the sleepwalking.

You need a sleep doc.
