unusual/involuntary exhales upon falling asleep

Posted by jennifer on August 02, 2002 at 17:36:58:

in looking through these forums, i have never seen my type of situation...just as a fall asleep, i involuntarily exhale which of course comes with a jerking sensation....doctor says it nerves, but unless i take sleeping meds, i have a problem. additionally, doctor thinks its a form of muscle contractions....i sleep like a baby--do not snore and get a full 7 hours sleep each night. can anyone relate to this..i'd be appreciative for any feedback...
