I have some sympathy with your frustration with others attaching their own off the wall diagnosis of your experiences I've suffered similarly myself.I have been unable to get through a day without absolutely having to catnap several times a day this has been going on for nearly a decade now I havn't always treid to find treatment and I've let time pass hoping it would come to some kind of natural end,I'm a miidle aged man living in the UK and getting exactly the tests you need can take a very long time with convoluted referall systems of the national health service.Amongst variuos tests (MRI scan)I've had sleep latency tests that say I'm OK and even under pressure from wife, doctor, friends, family etc have been to a shrink after a while he and I agreed what ever I've got it's not caused psychologicaly.I'm going in a couple of weeks to see a sleep expert doctor though these days I find it hard to believe I can get a "cure" as such but an improvement would be really welcome. The importent thing I think to keep in mind is that you know inside that something is going on outside of your choice and that others still need to be told emphatically no matter if they think you are bonkers.....insist.....good luck.
