REM disorder in an infant

Posted by Midnite_blu on September 13, 2002 at 23:24:07:

I just took my 22 month old to a sleep study. I found out there that they think she has REM Sleep Behavior Disorder. I had never heard of it untill this time. I would have never thought there was such a thing had her Doctor not set up the appointment and insist we keep it. I thought she was just a very restless sleeper. I have read some other questions that were posted but never saw anyone this age haveing this disorder. Actually I figured out from reading that it is usually Males and usually older. Is this extremely uncommon for a child her age to have this and will the medication work for her? If anyone has any information on this please let me know any and all that you know.
