Thanks for your input, SGS. I think you called it--there has been no more loud snoring since those first two nights, and when she was snoring her breathing never stopped or anything. She was just unresponsive and snoring loudly. Since those two nights where she seemed to just crash, things have calmed down and Sarah's been able to sleep more nightly and neither we nor her sister/roommate have observed anymore loud snoring. Thanks for commenting--I'd never heard of sleep inertia. ~George
