Yes, there is a name for this. It's a hypnagogic or hypnopompic hallucination (abbr. as HH). It is a state of dreaming while you are aware of your surroundings (being awake). These "dreams" can occur just before you fall asleep (hypnagogic) or just after waking up (hypnopompic). A HH can be accompanied by a feeling of being unable to move or speak called sleep paralysis.
As long as they are not too frequent or to disturbing it is not a real problem, though they can be very scary. But if they are very frequent or very disturbing it is wise to see your doctor.
