Posted by Dave on September 30, 2002 at 11:11:33:To whomever may be able to give guidance or advice, please please email me. The situation is this, my wife goes into this COMA like sleep every night. She doesnt awake for our childrens cries, she doesnt awake for alarm clocks or loud noises, and no matter when she goes to sleep, it seems as though she has to sleep for like 10 or more hours. THis is especially true on the weekends when work is not an issue and I am home to take care of the children in the mornings. It seems as though she would sleep most of the day if I did not try for hours on end to wake her. When she does awake, if before she is ready, she is the most horrible person I have ever seen. She says mean hateful things, she makes up stories like I kept her up all night talking to her and that is why she is still tired, and I usually dont even sleep in the same room she does because of these sleeping problems. She OFTEN talks in her sleep, totally senseless jibberish . And one of the worst things is that a few times I have awaken in the middle of the night and made love to my wife, she appears to be responcive and even talks to me and the next day she doesnt remember a thing about it. I KNOW that she has some sort of disorder, it is obvious, but I have no idea what it may be. It is very hard for us to find time to go to the doctor because of our scheduals and it would be wonderful if anyone with knowledge on sleeping disorders could email me and at least give me an idea of what may be the problem. She gets plenty of rest, but it is never enough. When she wakes up, she is way way way beyond just grumpy in the morning. And if she has a couple drinks, you can basically forget about her waking up the next day until at least 2:00 or 3:00 in the afternoon. PELASE HELP !! Thanx
