Posted by Larz on September 30, 2002 at 19:27:11:I am writing because I don't know what is going on here. Lately, it seems that whenever I take a nap (anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour) I wake up feeling very disoriented, achy, my heart will be pounding-funny though...that does not happen as soon as I wake up..it will be maybe a minute later. I feel like there is a weight on my entire body, and just an overall feeling of weakness. It can actually be quite frightening. It seems like it will last until I eventually just go back to bed for the night. I have had numerous tests done...I have suffered from panic/anxiety attacks in the past...but the nap thing has been happening for a few years now-before and after the panic began. Also..when I sleep throuh the night I do not have these symptoms. I smoke, so I do not feel GREAT in the morning, but it is nothing like when I wake up from a nap. Anyone else having these problems or have any advice/explanation?
Thank you in advance!
