Timeline on sleep deprivation

Posted by DumpShock on November 04, 2002 at 22:22:51:

I am working on a project for a psychology class regarding sleep deprivation. I remember at one time reading an article in a Reader's Digest that gave a timeline of sorts that detailed different effects of sleep deprivation and how many hours one was awake before these effects generally happened. Particularly, I think I remember something about a period of increased neurotransmitter activity that gave you a kind of a "second wind."

I was wondering if anyone knew of an article that had this kind of information available somewhere on the net - I can't seem to find this kind of specific information. I would appreciate any help.
