There are no over the counter medications that will help. He needs to see a sleep doc for treatment. If he refuses you need to focus on safety. Not just his but everyone in the house. There have been people who have killed other people during sleepwalking. Some have gotten off using sleepwalking as a defense.

Keep knives, guns, etc. out of the house, and car keys where he can't find them.
