Waking up hot or sweaty is a sign or a cardiac or sleep related breathing disorder. You do not have to snore or stop breathing to have this disorder. Typically body temperature goes down when we sleep. So you may want to consult a sleep doc.

Another possibility is the mattress you sleep on. Some mattresses hold heat more than others and can cause you to sweat.
