I have experienced something similar. I don't know if I talk during my sleep now, since I live alone, but a few years ago when I was living at home, I definitely was talking while asleep.
This actually caused me problems pretty often, because I wouldn't hear my alarm clock, and my mother would knock on the door and tell me to get up. I would not only tell her I was up, but also carry on a whole conversation with her...and not even realize I had! This was really bad when she had something important to tell me (like the time of an appointment) and I would tell her I got it, when later I would tell her I never heard her say that.
I don't know of any way to control talking in your sleep. Does it cause problems in your life, or is it just kind of embarrassing? If it is just a funny thing, I wouldn't worry about it... I don't think there's any way to stop it, really.
Sorry if this hasn't helped at all...I just wanted to let you know it's not totally abnormal. If you wake up really tired, then maybe there's another problem going on...I'm definitely not an expert, though.
