Falling nightmare

Many times I'll jolt awake in the middle of the night after dreaming that I was freefalling to the ground. I never knew where I was falling from, but knew I was heading without a parachute toward the earth. This happens quite often, and right before I wake up I can FEEL myself falling, as my stomach gets all queasy as if I am really hurtling toward earth!! I need help--and no I am not a former paratrooper just a 21 year old male with sleep problems.
